How to check where your Fiverr gig ranks for a keyword
The seller dashboard shows impressions and clicks. It does not show the position your gig appears in when a buyer searches. To see that, you have to search the way a buyer does.
Why the dashboard is not enough
Impressions tell you a gig was seen. They do not tell you whether it was the first result for "logo design" or the fortieth. When you change a title, a tag or a package price, the thing you want to know is whether the gig moved for the keyword you care about. The dashboard cannot answer that. A buyer search can.
Check it by hand
- Open Fiverr in a buyer view, ideally logged out or in a private window, so your own history does not shape the results.
- Search the exact keyword, not a paraphrase.
- Find your gig in the results and count its position. Ads sit at the top and are marked; a position that counts ads is not the same as an organic position.
- Note the page and the slot. Two pages of results is about 96 gigs, which is as far as a manual check usually reaches.
Why one check proves little
Fiverr results are not a fixed list. They can differ by account, by region, and from one day to the next, and paid placements move around them. A single position is a snapshot, not a rank. The number only becomes useful when you compare it with the same keyword checked over several days, and when you change one thing at a time and watch whether it moves.
How GigScope does the check
- On any gig page, press Track this gig and add the keywords you care about.
- Check now scans the first two pages of results for that keyword and records your position, plus the nearby positions so you can see who is above you.
- The popup keeps a short history per keyword, so a change in position is visible instead of guessed.
- On Pro, every tracked keyword is checked once a day automatically, so the history fills in without you opening anything.
Free includes 3 rank checks a day. The rank check covers the first 96 results, because that is what two pages give.
What to do with the number
Pick one keyword, change one thing, and check again over the next several days. If the position improves and holds, the change helped. If it bounces around with no pattern, the keyword is volatile and one day's number was noise. Tracking turns a single reading into a trend, and the trend is what tells you whether an edit worked.
