Fiverr impressions but no orders: what to check
Updated
Impressions only say your gig was shown. When they are high and orders are zero, the break sits either before the click or after it. Look at clicks first: low clicks point to your position, thumbnail and title, while clicks without orders point to the gig page, price or reviews.
Find the step that breaks
A sale runs through three steps: a buyer sees your gig (impression), opens it (click), and orders. The seller dashboard shows impressions and clicks, and you know your orders. Divide clicks by impressions, then orders by clicks, and see which number is weak next to what you expect.
Few clicks for the impressions
- Wrong keyword. Impressions count every search where the gig appeared. If it shows for phrases buyers use to look for something else, they scroll past. Check which keywords you really rank for.
- Low slot. A gig on page two gets seen, and rarely opened. Check your position for your main keyword, with ads counted apart.
- Thumbnail and title. Put your card next to the five above it. If yours looks like theirs, nothing makes a buyer pick it.
Clicks, but no orders
- Price. Compare your entry package with the gigs above you for the same phrase.
- Proof. A buyer weighs your review count against theirs. A new gig with no reviews loses to one with fifty at the same price.
- Packages. Check that the first package is something a buyer can order without a message, and that the description says what they get.
- Gallery and FAQ. A sparse gallery or no FAQ leaves questions that a buyer would otherwise ask you.
Rule out a one-off
A week with impressions and no orders can be chance, particularly on a gig that sells a few times a month. Check the same keyword on several days, and look at whether impressions moved when your position did. A real problem repeats.
Where GigScope helps
On a search page it shows competitor ratings, reviews and prices on each gig card and counts the ads. Its keyword card gives a Crowded, Open or Mixed verdict with the result count and the median review count, and the gig health score names the 3 biggest problems on free (all 8 checks on Pro).
If you chase a different step of the funnel, tell us on the roadmap page, and we will weigh it against what other sellers ask for.
Questions
Why does my Fiverr gig get impressions but no clicks?
Usually the gig sits low on the page, appears for keywords that do not match what buyers want, or looks the same as the cards around it. Check your position for your main keyword first.
Why do I get clicks on my gig but no orders?
The buyer opened the page and left. Compare your price, review count and first package with the gigs ranked above you, and check that the description says what the buyer gets.
How many impressions does a Fiverr gig need before it sells?
There is no fixed number. It depends on your price, reviews and category, so compare your own clicks per impression and orders per click over several weeks.
Does a lower rank mean fewer impressions?
Often, but not always. Impressions also fall when fewer buyers search a keyword. If your position held and impressions fell, demand moved, not your gig.
